Foundation Repair Planning in Fort Branch

Independent foundation repair planning and provider-matching information for Fort Branch, near Evansville.

A stockade's spring, a railroad's town

Fort Branch takes its name from an 1811 frontier fort -- two blockhouses inside a stockade, built midway between Vincennes and the Ohio River specifically because a spring-fed stream nearby guaranteed water during a siege. The actual town came much later, starting in 1852 with the railroad and first known as LaGrange before being renamed for the old fort.

Spring-fed ground, a real drainage variable

A site chosen in 1811 for its water supply still has water moving through it in ways worth understanding before foundation work begins. Fort Branch's rail-era town core grew up around that same spring-fed ground, and a foundation evaluation here should treat groundwater and drainage as first-order questions, not an afterthought.
